WHEREAS, a petition claiming to represent a majority iri owner-
ship in value of the owners of real property on Leverett Avenue from
the South line of Douglas Street to the North line of North Street
was duly filed with the City Council of the City of -Fayetteville,
Arkansas; on-the'first7day=of December; 1924-,- asking, -that said -property
be created into an Improvement District to be known as North Leverett
°e' Improvement District Number One of the City Of Fayetteville,
Arkansas, and that the cost of said improvement be assessed against
the real property within said Improvement District;
WIEREAS, said City Council of said City of Fayetteville, Ark-
ansas, did on said first day of December, 1924, order and direct
the City Clerk of said City of Fayetteville, Arkansas, to give a
notice by publication for two weeks in some newspaper issued and
having a general circulation in the City of Fayetteville, Washing-
ton County, Arkansas, that such petition had been filed and that it
would be cons idered-at-a-meeting-:of.,the-City.4ounc it of_said, City._
of Fayetteville, Arkansas, to be held at the Mayor's office on the
22nd day of December, 1924, at 7:30 P. M. and that all property
owners might appear before said City Council on said date and show~
cause for or against the creation of such District and the making
of said improvement;
'WHEREAS, said notice was so published by said clerk in accord-
ande with law;
WHEREAS, said time for hearing has arrived and said hearing has
been duly and properly had;
NOW, TNFREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY TIE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY

SECTION ONE; That after careful consideration the City Council
of the City of Fayetteville, finds that there is a total assessed
valuation of 16,260.00 on said real property within said District
according to the last assessment on file in the office of the County
Clerk of Washington County, Arkansas, and that persons signing said

petition own real property within said District of the assesed valu-
ation of 011,440.00 according to said assessment.
SECTION TWO: That it is the finding of said City Council of said
City of Fayetteville, Arkansas, that the majority inA assessed�valuat-

ion of owners of real property within North Leverett Improve-
ment District Number One of the City of. Fayetteville, Arkansas, have
signed said petition and the said District is hereby formed by said
City Council of said City of Fayetteville, Arkansas.
SECTION THREE: In consideration of the said above mentioned
petition the said City Council of the said City of Fayetteville, Ark-
ansas, has been guided by the certificate of the Circuit Clerk of
said County as to the ownership of said real property, and 'oy the
certificate of the County Clerk of said County as to the assessed
valuation of said real property.
SECTION FOUR: That all Resolutions and parts
in conflict herewith be, and the same
this resolution shall be in for.ce.and
passage and approval.
