=•:WHEREAS, on the 8th day of September, 1924, a Petition signed
by ten owners of real property was presented to the City Council of
the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas, praying that certain territory
described therein be formed into an Improvement District; and
-WHEREAS; -OQ3' the 8th-day"of ' Septembers 1924,""the- "City -Council- of
the City of Fayetteville; Arkansas, passed an Ordinance! Number 526,
creating said Improvement District as set forth in the description
of the above referred to Petition and in said ordinance designating
the same Douglas Street Improvement District Number One of the City
of Fayetteville, Arkansas; and
WHEREAS, A Petition signed by owners of real property within
Douglas Street Improvement District Number One of the City of Fayette-
ville, Arkansas, who claimed to constitute a majority in assessed
value;of real property within said Improvement District was presented
to the City Council of the City of Fayetteville; Arkansas, on the 15th
day of September, 1924; and
WHEREAS, The City Council of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas,
did upon the 15th day of September; 1924; pass a resolution directing
the City Clerk of the City of Fayetteville,' Arkansas, to publish.a
notice once a week for two weeks in a daily newspaper in the.City of
Fayetteville, Arkansas, stating that said Petition had been filed with
the City Council and that a hearing would be held by the City Council-
on October 6th; 1924, to determine whether or not said signers of
said Petition do constitute a majority in assessed value of real property
within said District; and
WHEREAS, Said hearing has been had and all persons;_who desired
to beheard have been heard by the City Council; '
NOW, THEREFORE; BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF. THE CITY
OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS: "mk

SECTION ONE: That the total assessed value of the real -property
within said Douglas Street Improvement District Number One of the City
of Fayetteville, Arkansas, is $ /1 c / a °` and that the persons sign-
ing the Petition herein referred to represent real property within said
District to the amount of %"SSD

SECTION TWO: It is the finding of the City Council 6CBat those
signing said Petition constitute a majority in assessed value of real
property within Douglas Street Improvement District Number One of the
City of Fayetteville, Arkansas.
SECTION THREE: That the findings of the City Council referred to
in Section Two of th&s`Resoltitio wn asbased•upon a`certificate or"the
Circuit Clerk and Ex -Officio Recorder of Washington County; Arkansas;
as to the record ownership of said real property and a certificate of
the County Clerk of Washington County, Arkansas; as to the assessed
value of the real property situated in Douglas Street Improvement Dis-
trict Improvement District Number One of the City of Fayetteville;
Arkansas.
SECTION FOUR: That all Resolutions or parts of resolutions in
conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealled and this
Resolution shall be in force and effect from and after its passage
and approval.
