WHEREAS, a Petition, claiming to represent a majority in value of the
owners of real property on West Meadow Street, from the West line of North
Bfock Avenue to the East line of North West' Atenue;' Werth Locust Aienue,
from the South line of west Spring Street to the North line of West Center
Street, and North Church Avenue, from tSe South line of West Spring Street
c„to.theiliorth,line-of,est_Center-Ptreets was duly filed with the City
Council of the City of Payettevilleft.Arkansas, on the AS day ofc440)
1924, asking that •said property be created into an Improvement District,
to be known as West Meadow Street Improvement District Number One of the
City of FayetteviltylkArkansas;
WHEREAS, said City Council of said Citynof Fayetteville, Arkansas, did,
on the said MIMS day of 1924, order and direct the City Clerk of
said City of Fayetteville, Arkansas, to give notice by publication, for two
weeks, in some newspaper issued and having a general circulation in the
said City of Fayetteville, Arkansas, that such Petition had been filed, and
that it would be considered at a meeting of the City Council of the said
City of Fayetteville, Arkansas, to be held at the Mayor's Office on the
.7:4 day of 1924, at 7:30 P.M., and that all property owners of said
Improvement District might appear on'said date, and that said CitytCouncil
would, on said date, hear said Petition, and determine whether those signing
the sane constitute a majority in value of the owners of such real property;
WHEREAS, said notice wqo so published by said City Clerk, in accordance

with the law; and
WHEREAS, said time for said hearing has arrived and Said hearing has
been duly and properly had;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
FA/ETTEV/LLE, ARKANSAS:

SECTION ONE: That, after careful consideffa4, tha4;ity Council of
thre City of FayeftavilleflAikanlas, finds that there is a total assessed
valuation of isiM..AO: , of real property within said Die_
trict, according to the last assessment on file in the office of the County
Clerk of Washington County, Arkansas; and that persons 'signing said Petition
own real property within said District of the assessed valuation of

SECTION TWO: That it is the finding of ettidrCity Council of said City
of Fayetteville, Arkansas, that the majority in assessed valuation of own -

SECTION THREE: In consideration of the said above mentioned Petition,
the said City Council of said City ofFayetteville„
Arkansas, has been
guided by the certificate of the Circuit Clerk of said County, as to the
ownership of said real property, and by the certificate of the County Clerk
of said County, as to the assessed volution of said real property.

SECT/ON FOUR: That all Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict
herewith be, and the same are hereby, repealed, and this Resolution shall
be in force and effect from and after its passage and approval.
