WHEREAS,_ a,Petition,cciaimingto represent.a majority in value of -the
owners of real property on South College Avenue,from the North line of East
Center Street to the North line of East Rock Street; East Rock Street,from
the East line of South College Avenue to the Center line of South East Avenue;
and West Rock Street, from the Center line of South East Avenue to the West
line of South Block Avenue; East Mountain Street, from the West line o.fSouth
College Avenue to the East line of South East Avenue; South East Avenue,from
the Noith line of Rock Street to the South line of Mountain Street; and South
Bloc» Avenue,from the North line of West Rock Street to the South line of
West Mountain Street,was duly filed with the City Council of the City of
Fayetteville,Arkansas,on the 17th day of March,i924,asking that said prop-
erty be created into an Improvement District,to be known as South College
Avenue Improvement District Number One of the City of Fayetteville,Arkansas;
WHEREAS, said City Council of said City of Fayetteville,Arkansas,
did,on said 17th day of Marc&,1924,order and direct the City Clerk of said
City of Fayetteville,Arkansas,to give a notice by publication,for two weeks,
in some newspaper issued and having a general circulation in the said City
of Fayettevilie,Arkansae,that such Petition had been filed,and that it would
be considered at a meeting of the City Council of the said City of Fayette-
ville,Arkaneas,to be held at the Mayor's Office on the 7th day of Apri1,1924,
at 7:30 P.M.,end that all property owners of said Improvement District might
appear on said date,and thatxsatfid City Council would,on said date,hear said
Petition,and determine whether those sighing the Same constitute a majority
in value of the owners of such real property;
WHEREAS, said notice was so published by said City Clerk,in accor-
dance with the law; and
WHEREAS, said time for said hearing has arrived,and said hearing
has been duly and properly had;

SECTION ONE: That,after careful coneideration,the City Council of
the City of Fayetteville,Arkaneas,finds that there is a total assessed val-
uation of $ /49#24 ¥' ' ,of real property within said District,according
to the last assessment on file in the office of the Coutnty Clerk of Washing-
ton
ashington County,Arkaneas; and thatpersons signing said Petition own real prop-
erty within said District of the assessed valuation of $.4" 9 ;66�cJ ac -

cording to said assessment.
SECTION TWO: That it is the finding of said City Council of said City
of Fayetteville,Arkansas,that the majority in assessed valuation of owners
of real property within South College Avenue Improvement District Number One
hof the Citir..af-tayetteni`11e;Arkaneas have signed 'said -Petition and the said
District is hereby formed by said City Council of said City of Fayetteville„
Arkansas.

SECTION THREE: In consideration of the said above mentioned Petition,
theAaid City Council of said City of #ayetteville,Arkansas,has been guided
by the certificate of the Circuit Clerk of said County,as to the ownership
of said real property,and by the certificate of the County Clerk of said
County,as to the assessed valuation of said real property. •
SECTION FOUR: That all Resolutions or parte of Resolutions in con-
flict herewith be,and the same are hereby,repealed,and this Resolution shall
be in force and effect from and after its passage and approval.
