WHiIREAS, a petition claiming to represent a majority in value
of the owners of real property on West Dickson Street from the Fast
line of Duncan Street to the East line of Garland Avenue eras d1 iy filed
with the City Council of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas, 6n the
14th day of January, 1924, asking that said property be created into
an_improvtment District to be known as Annex Number One to University
Improvement District Number One of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas;
WHEREAS, said City Council of said City of Fayetteville, Arkansas,

of said City of Fayetteville, Arkansas, to give .a=not'ioe=b-y=publics-
tion for two weeks in some newspaper issued and having a general air-
culation in bhe City of Fayetteville, Washington. County, Arkansas,
that auch,petition had been filed and that it would be considered at
a meeting -6f the City Council of said City of Fayetteville, Arkansas,
to'be held at the Mayor's office on February 18th, 1924, at 7.30 P.M.
an& that all property owners of said Improvement District might appear
before'said City Council on said date and show cause for or against
such annexation;
WHEREAS, said notice was so published bysaid Clerk in accordance
with law;
• WH EAS, on said 18th day of February, 1924, on motion duly made,
seconded. and adopted, said hearing was continued until March 3, 1924,
at 7.30 P. M., no protest appearing;
. WHERFAS, said time for said hearing has arrived, and said hearing
has been duly and properly had;
NOW,THERFu'ORE, BE IT RESOLD BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS;
SECTION ONE: That after careful consideration, the City Council
of-the-City..of-Fayetteville, Arkansas,_ finds that there is a total
assessed valuation of $21,075.00 of reai'property within said District;r
according to the last assessment on file in the office of the County
Clerk of Washington County, Arkansas,and that persons signing said
petition own real property within said District of the assessed val-
uation of $17,625.00, accord&ng to said assessment.
SECTION TWO: That it is the finding of the City Council of said
City of Fayetteville, Arkansas, that the majority in assessed valuation
of owner; of real property within Annex Number One to University Im-
provement District Number One of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas,
have signed said Petition; and that said District is hereby formed by
said City Council of Fayetteville, Arkanaas.
SECTION THR.P'.i;: In consideration of the said above mentioned
Petition, thesaid City Council of the said City of Fayetteville, Ark-
ansas, has been guided by the certificate of the Circuit Clerk of
said County, as to the ownership of said real property, and by the
certificate of the County Clerk of said County, as to the assessed
valuation of said real property.
SECTInN FOUR: That all resolutions or parts of resolutions in
conflict herewith, be, and the same are hereby, repealed, and this
resolution shall be in force and effect from and after its passage
