HomeMy WebLinkAbout05-22 RESOLUTION4tub RESOLUTI ON.�g22 • • WHEREAS, a_ petition claiming to represent the majority in value of the owners of real property on Spring Street, from the West line of Block Street to the West line of Church Street; Church Street, from the North line of Spring Street to the South line of Dickson Street4Dickson Street, from the West line of St.Charles Street to the East line of Arkansas - --_�- - - ir Avenue; West Street, from the North line of Dickson Street to the South line of Lafayette Street; and Gregg Street, from the South line of Ida Avenue to the North line of Dickson Street, was duly filed with the City Council of the City of Fayetteville,Arkansas, on the 23d day of march,1921, asking that said property be created into an Improvement DistrLtt,to be known as Annex Number Two to East Street Improvement District Number One of the City of Fayetteville,Arkansas; WHEREAS, said City Council of said City of Fayetteville,Arkansas, did on the 6th day of,January,1922,order and direct the City Clerk of said City -of ayetteville,Arkansas, to give a notice by publication for -two weeks in some newspaper; issued and having a general circulation in the City of Sayetteville,Washington County,Arkansas, thatsuch petition had been filed, and that it would be considered at a meeting of the City Council of said City of Fayetteville,Arkansas, to be held at the mayor's Office on Tuesday,January 24,1922,at 7:30 P.M.,and that all property owners of said Improvement District might appear in said City Council on said date and show cause for or against such annexation; WHEREAS, said notice was so published by said Clerk,in accordance with law; and WHEREAS, said time for said hearing has arrived,and said hearing has been duly and properly had; ' a = :VOW,-THEREFORE,BE IT-J1ESOLVEO BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE,ARKANSAS: SECTION ONE: That,after =Nth careful consideration,the City Council of the City of !ayetteville,Arkansaa,finde that there is a total 1 e -o assessed valuation of $12.1V449. • of real property within said 2. District, according to the last assessment on file in the office of the County Clerk of Washington County,Arkansas; and that persons signing said petition own real property within said District,of the assessed valuation of • 76%1%10 according to said assessment. SECTION TWO: That it is the finding of said City Council of said City of Fayetteville,Arkansas, that the majority in assessed valuation of owners of real property within Annex Number Two to East Street Improve- ment District Number One of the City ofsFayetteville,Ariansas, have signed said petition; and the said District is hereby duly formed by said City Council of said City of Fayetteville,Arkansas. SECTION THREE: In consideration of the said above mentioned pe- tition,the said City Council of said City of Fayetteville,Arkansas,has been guided by the Certificate of the Circuit Clerk of said County, as to the ownership of said real property, and by the 9ertifivate of the County Clerk of said County,as to the assessed valuation of said real property. SECTION FOUR: That all Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in con- flicp herewith be,and thetame are hereby,repealed, and this Resolution shall be in force and effect from and after its passage nd approval.
