WH]l ]AS,a petition claiming to represent a majority in value of the
owners of real property ± n Spring Street,from the West line of Block Street
to the West line of Church Street; Church Street,from the North line of
Spring Street to the South line of Dickson Street;, Dickson Street,from the
West line of St.Charles Street to the East line of Arkansas Avenue; West
Street,from the North line of Dickson Street to the South line of Lafayette
Sfireeet; and Gregg Street,from the South line of Ida Avenue to the North
line of Dickson Street,wgs duly filed with the City Council on March 23,
1921,asking that said property‘be created into an Improvement District,to
be known as Annex Number Two to East Street Improvement District Number
One of the City of Fayetteville,Arkansas; and
WHEREAS,on said 23d day of March,1921,the said Council of said City
of Fayetteville,Arkansas,by a Resolution duly passed and approved,ordered
and directed the City Clerk to give notice by publication,for two weeks,
in some newspaper issued and having a general circulation in the City of
Fayetteville,Washington County,Arkansas,that such petition had been filed
and would be considered at a meeting of the City Council of said City of
Fayetteville,Arkansas,to be held -in -the Mayor's Office on Thursday,April
7,1921,at 7:30 P.M.; and
WHEREAS,sai.d notice was not publsihed for the time and in the manner
requiredeby law;
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OR.FAY-
ETTEVILLE,ARKANSAS:
SECTION ONE: That the City Clerk of the City of F'ayetteville,Arkan-
sas,be,and he is hereby,ordered and directed to give notice by publication
for two weeks in some newspaper published at Fayetteville,Washington Count
Arkansas,that such petition has been filed; and that it will be considered
at a meeting of the City Council of said City of Fayetteville,Arktnsas,
which will beheld in the Mayor's"Offtceon' ,'January1922,at 7:30
P.M.,and calling upon the property owners within said proposed Improvement
District,to appear before'said City Council on said date,and show cause
for or against such annexation.
SECTION TWO:: That all Orders and Resolutions in conflict herewith be

and the same are hereby,repealed,and this Resolution shall take effect
and be in force from and after its passage and approval.
