WHEREAS, a petition claiming to represent the majority in value
of the owners of real property on Block Street; from the South line of
West Dickson -'Street to"the North -lige -6? Center-Street;"Center Street,
from the West line of Block Street to the West line_of School Street;
Meadow Street, from the West line of College Avenue to the East line of
Block Street, except the portion of Meadow Street which is included in
East Street Improvement District Number One, and Spring Street between
the West line of College Avenue and the East line of Block Street, ex-
cept such portion of Spring Street as is included in East Street Im_
provement District Number Ones was duly filed with the City Council of
the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas, on the 2nd day of July, 1920, ask-
ing that said property be created into an Improvement District to be
known as Annex Number One to East Street Improvement District Number
One of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas;
WHEREAS, said City Council of said City of Fayetteville, Arkansas,
did on the 3d day of June, 1921, order and direct the City Clerk of
tae City of Fayetteville, Arkansas, to give a notice by publication hot %rro
Wel/ �/ain some newspaper, issued and having a general circulation in the City
of Fayetteville, Washington County, Arkansas, that such petition had
been filed and that it would be considered at a meeting of saidufaby
Council of said City of Fayetteville, Arkansas, to be held at the Mayor's
Office Tuesday, June 21, 1921, at 7:30 P: M.; and that all property
owners of said Improvement District might appear before said City Coun-
cil on said date and show cause for or against such annexation;
WHEREAS, said notice was so published by said Clerk in accordance
with law; and
WHEREAS, said time for said hearing has arrived, and said hearing
has been duly and properly had;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OP THE CITY OF
FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS:
SECTION ONE: That after careful consideration; the City Council
of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas, finds that there is a total
assessed valuation of $148,100•oo of real property within said district,
according to the last assessment on file in the office of the County
Clerk of Washington County, Arkansas; and that persons signing said
petition own property within said district of the assessed valuation of
$82,510.00, according to said assessment.
SECTION TWO: That it is the finding of said City Council of said
City of Fayetteville, Arkansas, that the majority in asseseed valuation
of owners of real property within Annex Number One to East Street Im-
provement District Number One of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas, have
signed said petition; and the said district is hereby duly formed by
said City Council of said City of Fayetteville, Arkansas.
SECTION THREE: In consideration of the said above mentioned pe-
tition, the said City Council of said City of Fayetteville, Arkansas,4g.
/4 "guided by the Bertificate of the Circuit Clerk of said County as to the
ownership of real property, and by the certificate of tCounty Clerk
as to tr ation of said real property.
SECTION FOUR: That all Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in
conflict, be, and the same are hereby,repealed, and this Resblution'
shall be in force and effect from and after its passage and approval.
