WHEREAS, a petition claiming to represent a majority in value of
the owners of real property on Block Street, from the South line of
West Dickson Street, to the North line of Center Street; Center Street,
from the West line of Block Street, to the West line bf School Street;
Meadow Street,'from the West fine of College Avenue, to the East line
of Block Street, except the petition of Meadow Street which is included
in East Street Improvement District Number One, and Spring Street be-
tween the West line of College Avenue, and the East line of Block Street,
except such portion of Spring Street as is included in East Street Im-
provement District Number One, was duly filed with the City Council at
its regular meeting held Friday. July 2, 1920, asking that said property
be created into an improvement district, to be known as Annex Number
One to East Street Improvement District Number One of the City of Fay-
etteville, Arkansas; and
WHEREAS, on said 2nd day of July, 1920, the said Council of said
City_of..Fayetteville,..Arkansas,, by. a Resolution duly passed,.and approved,.
ordered and directed the City Clerk to give notice by publication, for
two weeks in some newspaper published in Fayetteville, Washington County,
Arkansast that such petition had been filed and would be considered
at the next regular meeting of said Council of said City of Fayetteville,
to be held July 16; 1920, at 7:30 P. M.; and
WHEREAS, said notice was not published for the time and in the
manner required by law;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS:
SECTION ONE: That the City Clerk of the City of Fayetteville, Ark-
ansas, be,_,and,,he,is_shereby.,. .,o.rdered and. directed, _to give notice by
publication for two weeks in some newspaper published at Fayetteville,
Washington County, Arkansas; that such petition has been filed-, and that
it will be considered at a meeting of the City Council of said City of
Fayetteville, Arkansas, which will be held on Tuesday, June 21, 1921,

at 7:30 P. -M., and calling upor, the property owners within said proposed
improvement district, to appear before said City Council on said date, and
show cause for or against such annexation.
SECTION TWO: That all Orders and Resolutions in conflict herewith,
be, and the same are hereby, repealed, and this Resolution shall take effect,
and be in force, from and after its passage and approval.
