HOUSING AUTHORITY OF
THE CITY OF FAYETTEVILLE, ARKANSAS
The Housing Authority of the City of Fayetteville, Arkansas met in Regular Session at 6:00p.m.,
July 28, 2016, in the City Administration Building, Room #111, Fayetteville, AR.
Mike Emery, Chairperson called the meeting to order at approximately 6:00 p.m.
Commissioners Present: Mike Emery, Chris White, and Matthew Cabe
Commissioners Absent: Chris Terry and Carma Unruh
Others Present: Deniece Smiley (Fayetteville Housing Authority)
NEW BUSINESS
A. Approval of Minutes of Previous Regular Board Meeting. No corrections or
changes were made to the board meeting minutes; the minutes were accepted
as presented.
B. Approval of May 2016 FHA Program Balance Sheets and Income Statements and
May 2016 Accounts Payable Summary. No corrections or questions were asked;
the financial statements were accepted as presented.
C. Approval of Resolution No. 1054 —Adopting Revised Policy for the Section 8
Rental Assistance and VASH Programs. Matthew Cabe made the motion to
approve Resolution No. 1054 and Chris White seconded. The Board approved
unanimously.
D. Discussion of City of Fayetteville's Request for Issuance of Quitclaim Deed for Old
Post Office Square Gardens. A motion was made by Matthew Cabe to execute
the Quitclaim deed upon conditioned upon HUD's approval. Chris White
seconded the motion. The Board approved unanimously.
E. Executor Director's Report. Deniece Smiley presented oral remarks.
With there being no further business, the meeting was adjourned by Mike Emery. The next
regular scheduled board meeting is August 25, 2016.
