November 8, 2007
1. John Coleman(City of Fayetteville)—Gave a powerpoint presentation on the
City's progress in energy conservation and upcoming programs to continue
this success. Also gave a brief synopsis of national programs that are having a
positive impact on Fayetteville such as the Clinton Climate Protection
Initiative, US Green Building Council's Greenbuild Conference in Chicago
and the National Home Builder Association's green homes seminar.
2. Francesca D'Agrosa(University of Arkansas)—Discussed the opportunity to
eliminate Styrofoam from the waste stream; including case studies from other
US cities. ECC members gave advice on how to get this initiative started in
the community.
3. ECC members discussed canceling the December meeting.
