ITEM #2: Approval of the Airport Board Minutes of the December 17, 2015 meeting • A motion to approve the December minutes was made by Bill Corley and seconded by Marty Burggraf. The motion carried. ITEM #3: Receiving of Reports: A. Director's Report—provided by Johnny Roscoe,Airport Director: • Airport Activity-Tower operations in January were 1,726- down 656 from Dec. Comparatively, total tower operations for 2015 were 21604 verses 35790 in 2014,down 14,186. Fuel sales in January were 34,264,48 total gallons less than December. Considering 30K a month is our goal,we are off to a good start. Total fuel sales for 2015 were 348,109 gallons which was 11,891 gallons shy of our goal of 360K but within 5,100 gallons of 2014 numbers. Considering all things however, 2015 was a pretty good year for fuel sales. The reduction in fuel sales and tower operations could potentially be accounted for by the loss of SkyVenture Flight School. From a business operating perspective, revenue for 2015 exceeded expenditures in the approximate unaudited amount of$110K. • Hangar/Terminal Roof Rehab Update—The City of Fayetteville is currently working with the insurance company regarding our claim. Once we have an idea what insurance will cover we will be able to scope a better overall price for the project. • Potential UofA Classes — UofA College of Education and Health Professions Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) may potentially rent out the banquet area space on a by-need basis and teach classes here during the week. • Welcome to New Board Member— As we graciously thank and bid farewell to Mr. Rick Bailey who served the people of The City of Fayetteville on the airport board for over 4 years, the Drake-field team would like to extend a very warm welcome to Mr. Paul Algee. B. Financial Report: provided by Summer Fallen,Airport Financial Coordinator: • Interest was shown at the last meeting in getting actual revenue numbers from the FBO.The$110,000 profit that the Airport made from 2015 was from the FBO. • A majority of the Airport revenue comes from jet fuel, and then it breaks down into the T-hangars tenants versus the Corporate hangar tehants, terminal rent and the FBO tenants. • A request was made by the board to see monthly FBO revenue/sales numbers. C. T-hangar Report-provided by Dee McCoy,Administrative Assistant: • The airport has(4) vacant T-Hangars. PAGE 1 OF 2 • D. Museum Report-provided by Rick Bailey, Museum Board Director • The museum is doing well. They are not building the volume of visitors during the winter months as they would like to have. • During Bikes Blues and BBQ, there will at least be a 824, and potentially three other aircrafts from the Commemorative Air Force. We are hoping to have our Stearman Ride Program up and running at that time so we can generate money on our own. • Money came in and paid off the last of the bill for the Stearman. It is solely owned by the museum. The museum is thinking of incorporating it into the ride program. • The Capital Campaign will kick off this summer to raise funds to improve the museum. • The museum is looking into expanding, including better protection for the outdoor exhibits and extending the walkways. • Airport Days wills start the third Saturday in April.
