Lake Sequoyah Sediment Removal Project The force main was installed by City crews in March 2015. The design of the basins and access has been completed and the grading permit application has been submitted for review. The process of obtaining contracts for site preparation, surveying, and geo- technical support for the initial site should start this month.. b. White River Use Attainability Analysis (Minerals) We sent a follow up letter to ADEQ on April 23, 2015, expressing our appreciation of their staff for meeting with us to discuss the presentation of the latest work on the Use Attainability Analysis. We have still not received a formal response from ADEQ from our follow up letter from the March face-to-face meeting. We are continuing to collect samples from the stream and the plant, as well as developing a plan to perform parts of the UAA study itself if necessary, just in case the answer we do get form ADEQ is not favorable. Ozone Disinfection System Project Equipment is scheduled to be delivered to the Noland WWTP by BluelnGreen by September 15, 2015. The preconstruction meeting was held with JL Bryson on June 4, 2015. The contractor has been given a notice to proceed and preparations for the eventual installation can now begin. NEW BUSINESS: a. Baxter and Mount Sequoyah Water Tank Rehabilitation Improvements This project will refurbish and repaint (interior and exterior) the 5 million gallon ground storage water tank located on Baxter Lane East of College Street, and the 250,000 gallon tank on Skyline Drive on Mount Sequoyah. Plans and specs have been forwarded to the purchasing department. The plan is to advertise for bids on or around July 1, 2015 with a bid opening planned on or around July 23, 2015. We will submit bid results to the Water& Sewer Committee Chairman and Members via email on July 24, 2015. If approved by the Water& Sewer Committee, the project will move forward to the August 18, 2015 City Council Meeting. Notice to proceed should be issued around the first week of September. At the July 14, 2015 Water & Sewer Committee Meeting, the Garver Engineering Firm will present the project to the Committee. Total construction costs are expected to be $1,670,000.
