SPECIAL MEETING
May 21, 2004
Commissioners Present: Chairman Bob Davis, Neal Crawford, David McGeady, Ching
Mong and Curtis Shipley.
Commissioners Absent: Dan Coody, Pat Gazzola
Staff Present: Marilyn Heifner
Chairman Bob Davis called the special meeting of the Fayetteville Advertising and
Promotion Commission to order on May 21, 2004 at the Fayetteville Town Center
conference room at noon.
The Commissioners reviewed materials requesting $5,000 sponsorship of NCAA
Regional Baseball Tournament. There are 16 regionals in the U. S. If the University
wins against Auburn this weekend, they have a good chance of getting a regional
tournament. If they win the regional, they automatically get a superregional.
Shipley moved that the A & P become a sponsor of the Regional Baseball Tournament at
a $5,000 sponsorship level contingent on getting the regional. Motion carried.
• Decision will be made May 30 for which cities get regional tournaments.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
