PRESENT: Bob Davis, Joe Fennel, Pat Gazzola, John Gilliam, Ching Mong, Curtis Shipley,
Kevin Santos, Denise Bembenek, and Marilyn Johnson.
ABSENT: None
A special meeting of the Advertising and Promotion Commission was called to order at the
Fayetteville Town Center conference room at 1:00 p.m. by Chairman Joe Fennel to address
sound problem issues at the Town Center.
Issues related to U of A concessionaires at football games and HMR taxes were discussed. Joe
Fennel requested Kit Williams to follow up on process of vendor operation at stadium.
Denise Bembenek reviewed issues regarding acoustic problems and carpeting solution.
Motion by Davis, second by Gilliam to waive competitive bidding requirements and purchase
mid-level carpet from Ozark Floors at a price of $41,422. Staff will choose carpet. Motion
carried.
Ozark Floors should be able to get delivery in 2 — 3 weeks and it will take 2-3 days to install.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
