• A motion was made by Pat Henry and seconded by Michael Green to extend
the existing contract with MRGH for 90 days which will allow for
continuity and contined service during the interviewing process. The
motion carried.

CALL TO ORDER:
The meeting was called to order by Michael Green.
BUSINESS:
Advertising Agency Subcommittee Review -
Michael Green read the subcommittee report. Chairman Green then opened
the floor for discussion.

Ed Barham noted that the agency wants to restore the commission's faith
and do what is best for Fayetteville. Timing is critical with the
marketing program in full swing.
Michael Green noted that no anamosity existed for the agency, but rather
changes in the agency has brought about the need for rebidding.
Steve Holcomb explained that questions are expected with the changes in
the agency, however this drastic action of rebidding comes as a complete
surprise. Holcomb further explained that the agency the commission hired
is still there working for the commission, and that many good things have
been done by the agency during the past year.
A motion was made by Pat Henry and seconded by Jim Waselus to accept the
subcommittee report and to not renew the MRGH contract effective April
1, 1992. The motion carried.
Proxie Vote: Michael Green read a proxie vote from Commissioner Fred
Vorsanger stating the the contract with MRGH should not be renewed and
the request for qualification should commence.
Bob Blackston suggested that any questions MRGH should have should
be answered by commissioners and be given input prior to bidding.
Chairman Green encouraged MRGH to submit a proposal for the RFQ.
