PRESENT: COY KAYLOR, PAT HENRY, MICHAEL GREEN, JOE FENNELL,
JIM WASELUS, FRED VORSANGER, MICHELLE GALLOWAY, ALETT LITTLE, ED
BARHAM AND STEVE WARD.
MINUTES: Motion by Jim Waselus, seconded by Pat Henry,to approve
the minutes as read. Motion carried.

TODAY MAGAZINE - Smitty O'Loughlin presented a
the production of a Special Interest Magazine for

T.V. Production Sponsorship - Mr. Hill presenteda proposal for
the A & P commission to sponsor a T.V. documentary on education
which has a focus on Fayetteville and the university. The
program would be viewed by an estimated 300,000 viewers on six
commercial T.V. Stations. The program will be aired on Monday
evenings at 6:30 p.m. with the A & P ads running at the
beginning and end of each run at a cost of Those
present agreed to consider future sponsorship, but declined the
invitation for this sponsorship.
BUDGET DISCUSSION: Michael Green presented a projected budget,
noting a projected income for this fiscal year of $362,810 with a
$760,000 'reserve. The proposed budget projected $405,000 expense
for 1992. Those present agreed to review the budget for 1992 and
develop the budget in October.
ADVERTISING/PUBLIC RELATION PROPOSAL FOR 1991: Ed Barham
presented a proposal for the commission to complete the 1991
Advertising program. Barham highlighted a Fall Foliage Tour
layout for a tour brochure and map update for the All Season
Tour. The MAPS marketing plan was reviewed, it was decided to
have Market Search to prepare a final draft for the next
meeting. The ad. agency was directed to develop a media plan
based on the 1992 marketing plan for the next meeting scheduled
for September 30 at 2:00 p.m.
MOTION made by Mike Green to approve the.MRGH Public Relations
plan - not to exceed $7976.00 and 1991 Interm 'Media Plan
$9012.72. Joe Fennell seconded the motion. Carried
