SUB -COMMITTEE

PRESENT: Pat Henry, Coy Kaylor, Joe Fennell

DISCUSSION: Those present reviewed the past meeting's notes and agreed
that they reflected their intentions. The committee then
listed the following additional questions to be asked in the
interview process with ad agencies.
• What would your charge be to develop a one color magazine
ad for A & P, of which A & P staff would place?
What is your process to develop from scratch a print ad?
• Who do you think represents the tourist market for
Fayetteville?
• How do you propose to track the ad campaign for the A & P
Commission?
The committee discussed the concept of each candidate
submitting a complete ad campaign that their agency has
recently done.
INTERVIEW SCHEDULE: February 19 - Submit questions and requests to
all candidates along with interview time schedule.
March 5 - Have all packets of information from the
ad agencies to the commission.
March 11 & 12 - Interviews
March 12 - Selection
April 1 - Contract Begins

AD AGENCY SELECTION PROCESS
The following quidelines will be used for the Fayetteville Advertising
and Promotion Commission in the selection of an advertising agency.
Contract agreement should include the following, but is not limited to:
1. All art work, logos, slogans, copies etc. developed for the A & P
Commission is the property of the A & P commission.
2. The ad
activities
by the A&
agency will be contracted by the commission, however all
will be handled through a staff person assigned and employed
P commission.
3. The ad agency shall be hired to create an advertising campaign,
develop and create ads and place ads per the direction of the A & P
Commission.

Questions for the interview - All questions will be given to the ad
agency prior to the interview to allow for a quality and complete
presentation.
1 What are the qualifications of your agency?
2 What are the qualifications of your creative/Art department?
3. What are your resources for placing ads?
4. What is your turn around time for service?
5. What is your process to develop a print ad?
6. What is your agency's fee structure?
7. What would be your charge for the development of a print ad that
the commission would place?
8. Who do you think represents the tourist market for Fayetteville?
9. What are your perceptions of Fayetteville's needs?
10. What are your preconceived plans for promotion of Fayetteville?
11. How do you propose to track the ad campaign?
Schedule for interview/hiring of ad agency
February 19 - Mail questionnaires and prerequisite request by
Certified mail
March 5 - Ad agency returns pre -interview packets
March 11 & 12 - Interviews
March 12 - Select ad agency.
April 1 - Contract begins
