PRESENT: Michael Green, Coy Kaylor, Jim Waseleus, Joe Fennell, Fred
Vorsanger and Pat Henry.
OTHERS PRESENT: Richard Shewmaker, Kevin Crosson, Steve Ward and
members of the press.
CALL TO ORDER:
The meeting was called to order by Michael Green.
BUSINESS:
Ad agency selection: The commission members and city representatives
submitted their evaluation forms with ranking of each agency submitting
a proposal. The purpose of the evaluation was to select the top five
candidate which will be interviewed. The following was the commissions
selection of the top five:
Mangin, Rains, Ginnaven, Holcomb
Corinnia/Richard Briggs
Bevis & Associates
Blackwood/Martin & Associates
Discussion of what the agency interviews would consist of and whether
or not there was a desire to handle the advertising in-house. After
some lengthy discussion it was decided to establish a sub -committee to
develop the purpose for hiring an ad agency and establish the interview
process and questions to be asked during the interview process. The
sub -committee members apppointed were - Coy kaylor, Pat Henry and Joe
Fennell with Richard. Shewmaker and Steve Ward to work with the sub-
committee. The sub -committee is to report back to the commission
with recommendations on Monday, February 18.
The sub -committees first meeting will be held on Thursday, February 7 at
7:30 A.M. at the Hilton.
