ACTION: 1. The meeting was called to order by Michael Green.
2. Minutes of the June 26 meeting were approved.
3. Mark Blackwood presented the final layout for the
update of the Visitors Guide which is ready to go to press.
On a motion made by Vorsanger, second by Green, the Commission
votesproceed with 30,000 copies.
4. Vorsanger and Shewmaker reported that the Terry
Don Phillips of the Razorback. Foundation has indicated they
would mail brochures on things to do in Fayetteville to their
season ticket holders. It was agreed that we should look at
this distribution market for future football and basketball
seasons.

5. Vorsanger suggestedthat we attempt to help host
the Municipal League meeting to be in Fayetteville this Fall.
Chairman Green asked Vorsanger to investigate our potential
role and report -back to -the Commission.
6. Jack Rash reported that the computer disc is now
complete in its first version, subject to data changes that
may be needed and the possible revisions, additions or del-
etions of screens based on Commission input from the samples
distributed. They are now ready to train staff on how to
maintain the disc data. A further review of this project
will be made by Richard Shewmaker with Interactive Technology
and the Chamber to polish its usability in the market.
7. Tom Jordan gave a brief update on the Air Museum
indicating that their visitors will exceed 10,000 this year.
He asked consideration by the Commission on helping reprint
their brochure. It was agreed he would make a formal presen-
tation at the next meeting.

8. Christy agreed to review the special projects
budget allocations and expenditures for 1989 with the City
Finance office to determine remaining available funds.
9. Next meeting: Monday, September 25, 3:00 p.m.,
at City Hall.
