A meeting of the Fayetteville Water and Sewer Committee is pla d fo August 2, 2007,
at 4:30 PM, in Room 326, Fayetteville City Hall. Proposed topics elude:
1. Approve Minutes of the July 10 and 26, 2007 Water/Sewer Committee Meetings.
2. Beaver Water District Discussion. A representative of BWD will be present to discuss
master planning, capacity, and BWD rate issues.
3. WSIP U date.

This percentage reflects only this particular contract. The overall completion percentage for the
wetland mitigation site, including berms, water control structures, etc., is 75%.
a. WSIP Farmington Area Work. Design and easement acquisition are under way.
b. WSIP Easement Update. An updated matrix will be distributed at the meeting.
c. Subproject EL-1 LS, Mally Wagnon Lift Station and Force Main replacement.
The new station will pump up to 2.6 mgd through 4,000' of 16"force main pipe to the 36 and
42" sewer lines EL-2. The City received seven bids on July 31, 2007 for this project, shown
below. Bidders could bid on either one or both of the components; Garvey was the low
bidder for both. Staff requests this item be forwarded to the full City Council for
approval.

d. Subproject EL-2 LS, 42" Gravity Line from Happy Hollow to the Noland WWTP
involves 25,0000' of 42" gravity sewer pipe, 1,240' of 18" — 36" gravity sewer, 70 manholes,
170 concrete piers, and related items. Six bids were received on July 31. Staff requests
this item be forwarded to the full City Council for approval.

e. Wetlands Mitigation Update. Bruce Shackelford, ECO, will be present to
discuss alternatives with the wetlands mitigation site.
f. Contract Legal Review- West Plant Construction Contract. The selection
process is underway; the decision will be made in late August.
g. WSIP Construction Schedule and Cost Update will be distributed at the
meeting.
4. Sanitary Sewer Rehabilitation Project Update.
a. Basins 1-5, 18 & 19 Sewer Rehab. T-G Excavating, $2,514,292, including
Change Orders 1 and 2. Construction underway at Doc Murdoc's.
b. Farmington Area. The Farmington Sewer Rehabilitation Project Notice to
Proceed will be issued on July loth. Work will commence within the next month.
5. Water and Sewer Rate Study Schedule. Several issues need to be decided upon
based on the HDR Water/Sewer Rate Study presentation.
6. 24" Water Line- Custer and Morningside. The 1,400' section of 24" main on Custer is
complete; Crossland Heavy is moving to complete the 3,700' section on the Morningside
Drive. Work should be completed in sixty days.
7. Scheduling the Next Water/Sewer Committee Meeting. Staff recommends the next
W/S Committee meeting be scheduled Tuesday September 11, 2007, 5:15 (following the
Agenda Session), in room 326.
