CALL TO ORDER AND FIRST-MEETING BUSINESS—Mayor Lioneld Jordan
• Welcome
• Review the Charge of this Advisory Committee
• Member Introductions
• Review role of the Committee's Chair
• Election of Committee Chair
• Meeting is turned over to new Town and Gown Committee Chair
NEW BUSINESS
• Election of Committee Secretary
• Draw Lots for Citizen-Appointees (City Clerk Sondra Smith)
• Determine Frequency of Meeting Dates, the Procedures by Which the
Committee Will Call Special Meetings, and Procedural Rules for When the
Chair and Secretary are Both Unable to Attend a Scheduled Meeting
• Election of meeting dates ("The Town and Gown Advisory Committee shall
meet at least once per quarter to conduct regular business, at a time and place
that is mutually convenient to the membership. The Town and Gown Advisory
Committee may meet more frequently if needed." City Code, Article XXIV,
33.364)
• Identify issues for possible review within the next six months
• Set New Business for the next meeting's agenda
