Hi Rainy,
This email is a follow up to our conversation this morning regarding City Clerk mail. Please
do not open any mail that is addressed to the City Clerk or Sondra Smith.
The Firemen's Pension and Policemen's Pension conducts an election each year. The
Firemen's Pension ballots are not to be opened by City staff. We have to place the unopened
envelopes in a locked cabinet and open them at a Pension meeting in front of the Pension
Board. There is a possibility that this election could be voided due to some ballot envelopes
being opened. I know there is a lot of mail to distribute and mistakes can be made.
