Berry Street Members: Amy Jones; Sarah King; Kathy Launder; Malcolm LeVois; Sue Madison, Vice Chair; Don Steinkraus, Chair City Staff: Ken Eastin, Urban Forester; Derek Linn, Urban Forester 1. Call to Order: 4:03pm I Don Steinkraus, Chair 2. In Attendance: Amy Jones, Sarah King (arrived later), Malcolm LeVois, Sue Madison, Don Steinkraus Absent: Staff: Ken Eastin, Derek Linn Guests: Meredith Hendricks; Glenda Patterson; Jeremy Williams; Andy Shupe 3. Approval of Minutes: Madison made a motion to approve the minutes as written. Jones seconded it. The motion passed with a 4-0-0 voice vote. 4. UFAB Sustainable Landscape Tour: Location A— David Nelms Adventure Subaru, 2269 N. Henbest Drive Nelms shared highlights of Adventure Subaru's landscape, including drought tolerant plants, pine straw planting beds, street trees, and grass pave in their overflow car storage area. He also mentioned several energy saving design elements that were implemented into the main building. Nelms and Adventure Subaru were presented the Commercial award. 5. UFAB Sustainable Landscape Tour: Location B — Karan Freeman Karen Ann Freeman and Bill Elder Residence, 1794 W. Berry Street Freeman shared highlights of her residential landscape, and said she and Elder removed an extensive amount of bush honeysuckle and other invasive plants from their property. She showed the board where they have re-planted the property with a diverse number of native plants. Freeman and Elder were presented the Residential award. Mailing Address: 113 W. Other Business or Announcements Steinkraus said that he and King had a plan to approach the Fayetteville Public Library to encourage their consideration of offering a weed wrench for checkout to library card holders. Madison made a motion for the Board to support this plan to connect with the Library. Jones seconded it, and the motion passed with a 5-0-0 voice vote. 7. Adjournment Time: 5:32pm 8.
