STREET COMMITTEE MEETING AGENDA
The City of Fayetteville Street Committee will be meeting in Room 326 of City
Hall at 4:30 P.M. on Monday, June 23, 2008. The following topics proposed for
discussion at the committee meeting include:
Call Meeting to Order by Chairman Lioneld Jordan
1. Approval of the minutes from the May 12, 2008 Street Committee meeting.
2. GARLAND AVENUE (NORTH OF FULBRIGHT EXPRESSWAY): Continued
discussion of a proposal from the owner of the Park West Development property to
relocate Garland Avenue between the Fulbright Expressway and Howard Nickell Road.
3. TRAFFIC CALMING STUDY RESULTS: Presentation of the results of the traffic
calming studies performed for the public requests made in 2007.
4. STEELE BOULEVARD MEDIAN CUT: Presentation of a proposed median cut on
Steele Boulevard located north of Van Asche Boulevard and south of Mud Creek.
5. Discussion to determine the status of all roads located within the western annexation
area.
6. GARLAND AVENUE (NORTH STREET TO MELMAR): Presentation of preliminary
plans and cost estimates provided by the Arkansas Highway & Transportation
Department. This item was tabled at the May 12,2008 meeting.
7. ACCESS MANAGEMENT ORDINANCE: Discussion of a proposed Access
Management Ordinance to replace UDO Chapter 166.08,Design Standards for public
streets. This item was tabled at the December 10, 2007 and the May 12, 2008
meetings.

8. Discussion of potential sidewalk improvements to Block Avenue between the Downtown
Square and Dickson Street to be included in the 2009 Sidewalk Replacement Program.
9. General Update of the Transportation Bond Program.
10. Discussion of a request to vacate a portion of the Mountain Street right-of-way to the east
of College Avenue in association with the College Avenue Improvement Project.
11. Scheduling of the next Street Committee Meeting.
