FAYETTEVILLE PARKS AND RECREATION
ADVISORY BOARD
Minutes for August 5, 2013
Opening:
The regular meeting of the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board was
called to order by Terry Lawson at 5:30 p.m. in Room 111 at the City
Administration Building at 113 West Mountain Street in Fayetteville,
Arkansas.
Present:
Parks and Recreation Advisory Board members McKnight, Leonard,
Lamb, Lawson, Maxwell, and Paul were present. Proffitt arrived later.
Meldrum and Watson were absent. Staff members Edmonston,
Humphry, Spann, Jumper, and Thomas were in attendance.
AGENDA:
1. Approval of July 1, 2013 PRAB Meeting Minutes
PRAB Motion: Maxwell motioned to accept the minutes as written,
and Leonard seconded it. Motion passed 6-0-0 by voice vote.
2. Regional Park Donation Presentation by Jim Cherry
Cherry presented a check in the amount of $425 to Edmonston to
be put toward the new soccer fields at the Regional Park.
3. BGSO Monthly Report: Byron Humphry, Parks Maintenance
Superintendent
The BGSO board met on July 23. Their 2013 audit is complete,
and they should be sending a copy of the audit to Parks. Their
membership is at an all time high of 1,358 members. During this
meeting, they discussed their master plan. It will probably be
October before they can present it to PRAB.
