Historic Heritage Action Group — Steve Smith
a) Historic sites inventory, identification process

Inclusion Group — Jamie Rene

Green Economy Group — Damon Dux
a) Last meeting was at the new time 4-6 of First Thursday of the month, had 20
in attendance
b) Next month may revise meeting time to Wednesday due to conflicts with
Arkansas sustainability
c) 501-C3 waiting for paperwork to come back.
d) Webpage is being worked on in the next couple of months.

e) Michael Lolley needs help with Earth day activities.
f) Professor from NWAC, Alex Statagacas, spoke about corporate
sustainability and the commonplace overwork of people up to 80 hour work
weeks
g) Greening of the MLS (Multiple Listing Service), met with MLS board to
incorporate and spread education of sustainability features, other areas in
the country have done it successfully
h) Fundraising goal almost met for website
i) Quinn Montana is new Scribe
Tom Sawyer, Representative for those seeking employment
a) Attending Workforce, addressing the "you are too experienced" problem
b) Writing article with options (without actual names of businesses) in
response to this situation, anticipated to be published in April or May
Research and Technology Park — Peg Hart
a) John English, new Dean of Engineering, is returning employee, was director
of Genesis from 1999-2001
b) Leadership Arkansas toured the Technology Park
c) Phil Stafford visited in Little Rock to their proposed Technology Park
d) Pi Day was celebrated with Pie at 1:59 and a good time was had by all

a) Kiva Zip kick-off with Bill Clinton event today in Little Rock attended by 3
CEAG members
b) FFEAC video recap to be coordinated with Government Channel staff
through Colleen
c) Elections for group facilitator next month
Update from Mayor Jordan
a) Old Tysons building in the process of being sold by the city, metal in the
building sold separately
b) Historic Bridge Restoration Funds have been approved
c) Mayor in contact with Missouri/ Arkansas railroad, to discuss possible Lioneld
passenger train line from Van Buren to Crystal Bridges, possible cost share Jordan
of expense of purchase of two train cars
d) Finalizing Sidewalk plan, set to triple production in the next 3 year upon
council approval
e) Finalized the Mag Study for assuring wages are at market value and the

f) Urban/ Agri. resolution begins study to ensure food security for Fayetteville
citizens presented to council soon, is a resolution of intent
g) Appleseed's, Feed Fayetteville, Local Food Group working with Mayor to
provide study and see what can be done to allow to promote food security
for Fayetteville residents
h) A&P decision to recommend $6.5 million go into the Walton Arts Center
expansion will go to City council
i) $3-3.5 million ready to go into regional park, Have 4.5 million now for 200
acre regional park
j) People must vote to determine budget, possible up to $8 million in regional
parks
k) Road expansions, 265/Cato Springs Road
1) Van Asche Road connection will have a trail next to it, anticipated building
this Fall
m) 2015-2016 anticipated extending Rupple Road from Walmart store to
Wedington
n) Parking deck is starting soon
o) Flyover will be built within a year and a half
Lindsley Smith
Municipal League (members from all the cities in Arkansas) met at their annual
conference in January, and a main speaker provided information about how to find Lindsley
3 and maintain the unique historic quality of cities, which helps on economic Smith
development and tourism and avoids a city looking like anywhere USA. Smith
reviewed the detailed notes of that presentation.

a) Susan asked question of where a FFEAC list -serve should be stored
b) Inclusion of all on List -serve is essential
c) Need to update Fayetteville Forward contact information — Dede Peters will Susan
maintain updated list Norton
d) Community link for Fayetteville Forward, needs to be redone to be more
accessible open and usable
e) Get with Dede about Directory for each action group
