Action Groups and Other Reporting
Green Economy Group — Mikel Lolley
a) The group formally ratified the Best Practices for Collaborative Agreements
document and Sarah Marsh signed the FFEAC Group form as Facilitator, taking
over the reins from Mikel Lolly. They elected officers and Quinn Montana will be
co -facilitator, Shelly Buoniuto will be scribe and Keaton Smith will be treasurer.
b) The group is working on documents on Property Assessed Clean Energy (PACE)
in comic book format and will next do a series on Climate Change and REFIT.
c) Mikel reviewed his year-end closure document with the group and pointed out
some highlights. Fayetteville is one of five cities recognized by Earth Day Network
for its longest Earth Day Festival and the city's sustainability initiatives. These five
cities will get a web page on the Earth Day site, with a link back to the Clinton
Global Initiative.
d) Mikel shared a letter to Governor Beebe in support of the Arkansas Economic
Development and Energy Plan from the Green Economy Group, Omni, and
Climate Change Task Force. Mikel and Leo Houser met with the Governor
regarding the energy plan on 1 / 13 /12.

e) Sarah reported on the group's goal setting and visioning charette which she

facilitated and reviewed the document produced from that effort.
Creative Economy -Chris Spencer
a) Christopher reported that Last Night was a smashing success with 1200 tickets
sold, over 2,000 in attendance an between 3-5 thousand dollars raised. The event
injected ten thousand dollars into the Creative Economy, paying performers, etc.
b) The CEAG is still seeking the 501C3 status and are looking at the Iceberg for co -
working space in the Metro District.
c) The CEAG has reactivated their policies and procedures committee.
d) Christopher has been named to the board of Arts Live.
Inclusion Group- Pattie Williams
a) Inclusion Group is on a three month transition plan. Pattie has stepped down as
facilitator and Julie will facilitate for the next 3 months.
b) Pattie read "Dip' by Seth Rodin and encouraged the group to read as it helps
with "how to let go." The FFEAC discussed that leadership transitions needs to be
in place in each group.

Local Foods Group
a) Quinn Montana spoke on behalf of Teresa Mauer. The group produced a local
food guide last fall and they are going to have a brainstorming on Feb 9 to work on
an update.
Research and Technology Park
a) Peg updated the group about the new business in So. Fayetteville at the Park,
Jammin Java South in the Enterprise Center.
b) Their newsletter went out last Friday.
Education
a) Susan encouraged the group to check out the new Fayetteville High Web Site
that describes the new Small Learning Community Structure.

The group discussed the final brand and tag line information and determined that

all should begin to use Community Link to public their work.
Julie
Julie invited all to a training to learn how to use the site. She reported that it had

had 200,000 hits since August. The group agreed that it is a place we should take

advantage of to help spread the word about the action groups in Fayetteville
Forward.
Julie brought several logo designs and the group provided guidance in which
concept they wanted her to bring back next month.
Topic # 2 —Celebration

Teresa, Julie, and Pattie planned the event, invitations went out, success visuals
were displayed, the "cube' participated, the food was wonderful, the house was

full, the company vibrant, the Mayor spoke, and it was a HUGE SUCCESS!!!! YAY!
