HISTORIC DISTRICT COMMISSION
A special meeting of the Fayetteville Historic District Commission was held on April 19,
2012 at 5:30 p.m. in Room 111 in the City Administration Building at 113 W. Mountain
Street, Fayetteville, Arkansas.

CALL TO ORDER: The meeting was called to order by Commissioner Coover at 5:30
p.m.

New Business:
2012 Preservation Awards Nominations
Andrew Garner, Senior Planner, informed the commission that staff had received two
nominations.
Commission Coover asked if the commission could nominate their own.
Commission Alt stated no and suggested that the two nominations be placed in different
categories.
Garner went over the Nominating Committees recommendations to place the two
nominations in separate categories.
Commission Lolley stated that he liked the idea of two different categories.
Motion:
Commissioner Wallack made a motion to approve. Commissioner Coley seconded the motion.
Upon roll call the motion passed with a vote of 5-0-0.
Ceremony
Garner stated that we can no longer use the Town Center for the ceremony.
Commissioner Coley suggested using the other location, 1 E. Center.
Commissioner Alt suggested that the committee recognize the projects that have been
listed recently, such as the Mt. Sequoyah Cottages, VA property and Liberty statue.
Jesse Fulcher, Current Planner restated the format for the awards ceremony.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 6:20 PM.
