A meeting of the Firemen's Pension and Relief Board was held on
Monday, June 6, 1983, at 4:30 p.m., in the City Manager's Office,
Interim City Hall, Fayetteville, Arkansas.
PRESENT: City Manager Grimes, Treasurer Linebaugh, Fire Chief Logue,
Firemen Springston, Boudrey, and Judy, and Acting Secretary Rowe.
ABSENT: Fireman Dill
CALL TO ORDER
City Manager Grimes called the meeting to order.
MINUTES
Treasurer Linebaugh stated that he had not understood that the
Board had intended him to distribute to the pension fund members a
copy of the material that had been sent to State Auditor Julia Hughes
Jones. There was general discussion among the board members as to
their intent, and it was decided that this should be done.
The minutes were approved as submitted.
PENSION LIST
There were no changes in the pension list for June. Fireman
Springston, seconded by Chief Logue, made a motion to approve the pen-
sion list. Upon roll call the motion passed unanimously.
OLD BUSINESS
Treasurer Linebaugh stated that the following investments matures
and were reinvested during the month of May: (1) May 3 - CD #11701
with Northwest National Bank of $312,000.00 was reinvested with
Northwest National - CD #11759 at 8.23%; (2) May 9 - CD #24973 with
First National Bank of $100,000.00 and CD #24974 of $320,595 was
combined and reinvested with Northwest National - CD #22341 making a
combined total of $420,595.00 at 8.13%; and (3) May 23 - CD #22072
with Mcllroy Bank of $270,000.00 was reinvested with Northwest
National Bank - #22395 at 8.63%. The $270,000.00 in old CD #22072 had
$33,000.00 included to make a total reinvested of $303,000.00
