HomeMy WebLinkAbout1981-12-07 MinutesMINUTES OF A FIREMEN'S PENSION AND RELIEF BOARD MEETING A meeting of the Firemen's Pension and Relief Board was held on Monday, December 7, 1981, at 4:30 p.m. in the City Manager's Office, City Administration Building, Fayetteville, Arkansas, 72701. PRESENT: Paul Logue, Larry Freedle, John Dill, Ralph Tate, Robert Johnson, City Manager Grimes, Treasurer Linebaugh, and Secretary Vivian Koettel. ABSENT: None CALL TO ORDER City Manager Grimes called the meeting to order. MINUTES The minutes of the 11-2-81 meeting were approved, with the following paragraph added: "It was agreed that Treasurer Linebuagh would call the City of Little Rock and see what rate they are getting on their investments and how their investments are handled." PENSION LIST There were no changes to the pension list for December. Motion was made and seconded to approve the pension list. The motion passed unanimously. OLD BUSINESS Treasurer Linebaugh reported that one CD had come due on November 9, for $ 212,395 and this had been combined with $101,000 fransavings to make two CDs. One for $100,000 and the other for $213,395. The $100,000 had been deposited with First Federal for 182 days at 14.25%. The $213,395 was deposited with First National at 12.75% for 1& days. One CD came due on 11-24-81 for $100,000. $45,000 was taken from savings and a CD of $145,000 was deposited with Northwest National Bank for 182 days at 11.88% Motion was made and seconded to approve these CDs. Motion passed unanimously. NEW BUSINESS Treasurer Linebaugh reported that the next CD would be due Janaury 18, 1982, after the next meeting.
