A meeting of the Firemen's Pension and Relief Board was held on Monday,
March 3, 1980, at 4:30 P.M. in the City Manager's Officer City Administration
Building, Fayetteville, Arkansas.
PRESENT: Chairman Don Grimes, Treasurer Scott Linebaugh, Secretary Angie
Medlock, Members Paul Logue, Dennis Ledbetter, Troy Osburn and
Larry Freedle.
ABSENT:. None.
CALL TO ORDER
The chairman called the meeting to order at 4:30 P.M.
MINUTES
The minutes of the February 5, 1980 meeting were approved as submitted.
PENSION LIST
There being no additions or changes to the pension list for the month
of March, Dennis Ledbetter moved the pension list be approved as submitted.
Larry Freedle seconded the motion, which passed unanimously.
INVESTMENTS
Treasurer Scott Linebaugh commented that there were no investments
coming due during the month of March.
CONTRIBUTION
Fire Chief Paul Logue gave the treasurer a $25.00 contribution from
Mr. Melvin Baugus to the Fire Department pension fund.
OTHER BUSINESS
Chairman Grimes stated that a study is being performed to see what
percentage of police and fire personnel hired'on.with the departments actually
stay until retirement eligibility.
Treasurer Linebaugh told the members that a newly passed law is going to
require the'departmentc have an actuarial study performed every 18 months and
a financial audit every 12 months, at the expense of the permsion fund.
