FUND BOARD
November 6, 1978
PRESENT: Chairman Don Grimes, Treasurer Pat Tobin, Secretary Angie Medlock,
Fire Chief Paul Logue, and Board members Larry Freedle, Dennis
Ledbetter, and Roy Cate.
ABSENT: Board member Troy Schader.
The Firemen's Pension and Relief Fund Board met November 6, 1978, at 4:30 P.M.
in the City Manager's Office. The meeting was called to order by Chairman Don
Grimes.
MINUTES
Roy Cate moved to approve the minutes of the October 2, 1978 meeting.. Larry
Freedle seconded the motion, which passed unanimously.
PENSION LIST
Paul Logue made a motion to approve the pension list for the month of November.
Roy Cate seconded the motion, which passed unanimously.
OTHER BUSINESS
Teasurer Tobin said they have a $12,000 investment scheduled to mature
on November 14, 1978, at Northwest National Savings and Loan. He said the
Pension Board now has $28,800, and recommended they leave $10,000 in cash and
deposit $18,000 plus the $12,000 scheduled to mature this month, for a total
$30,000 deposit. Tobin proposed to solicit quotations from various institutions
and call the Board members for approval of the investment.
Paul Logue made a motion to authorize the treasurer to solicit quotations for
the $30,000 investment. Roy Cate seconded the motion, which passed unanimously.
Roy Cate moved to approve the investment of $78,000, as discussed at the last
meeting, at First Federal. Larry Freedle seconded the motion, which passed
unanimously.
Paul Logue, seconded by Larry Freedle, moved to adjourn.
