RELIEF FUND BOARD
July 3,.1978
PRESENT: Chairman Don Grimes, Treasurer Pat Tobin, Secretary Darlene Westbrook,
Fire Chief Paul Logue, Board members Troy Schader, Dennis Ledbetter, and
Roy Cate
ABSENT: Larry Freedle
The regular monthly meeting of the Firemen's Pension and Relief Fund Board was
called to order by Chairman Don Grimes at 4:30 p.m. in the City Manager's Office.
There being no amendments necessary to theminutes of the June 5, 1978 meeting, the
Chairman declared them approved as submitted.
Troy Schader, seconded by Roy Cate, moved the July pension list be approved. The
motion carried unanimously.
Fire Chief Paul Logue reported that Randy Brattin requested the Board's approval
of his withdrawal of his pension fund contributions. Logue said Brattin had resigned
his position with the. Fire• Department. Troy Schader moved approval of the withdrawal
contingent upon receipt of written request from Brattin requesting the refund. The
motion carried.
Treasurer Pat Tobin reported that the fund has $12,000 in cash and that interest
proceeds were "pouring in". He reported that he had increased the investment of
$17,000 (approvedat the last meeting) to $20,000 for a one-year certificate at
Northwest National Bank to draw 8.10 percent interest. Roy Cate, seconded by Dennis
Ledbetter, moved that the additional $3,000 investment be approved. The motion
carried.
There being no further business for discussion, Chief Logue moved the meeting be
adjourned.. The motion was seconded by Schader and the meeting was adjourned by
the Chairman.
