RELIEF FUND BOARD
October 3, 1977
PRESENT: Chairman Donald Grimes, Secretary Darlene Westbrook, Treasurer Pat
Tobin, Fire Chief Paul Logue, Roy Cate, Troy Schader, Marion Doss,
and Dennis Mullens.
ABSENT: None
The Firemen's Pension Fund Board met October 3, 1977 at 4:30 p.m. in the office
of the City Manager. The meeting was called to order by Chairman Grimes. There
being no amendments necessary to the minutes of the September 6, 1977 meeting,
they were declared approved as submitted.
Marion Doss, seconded by Dennis Mullens, moved approval of the October pension
list. The motion carried unanimously.
The Treasurer advised that a $68,000 certificate of deposit was renewable at
First Federal Savings and Loan which is currently drawing 7% interest. He also
reported that the fund had in excess of $16,000 in cash. He recommended the
$68,000 be reinvested at First Federal plus $10,000 of the cash on hand -- a
total of $78,000 -- for one year at an interest rate of 7.2%. Dennis Mullens,
seconded by Cate, moved acceptance of the recommendation. The motion carried
unanimously.
There being no further business, a motion to adjourn was made by Troy Schader
and seconded by Roy Cate. The motion carried unanimously and the meeting was
adjourned by Chairman Grimes.
