RELIEF FUND BOARD
June 6, 1977.
PRESENT: Treasurer Pat Tobin; Secretary Darlene Westbrook; and Board
members Marion Doss, Dennis Mullens, Troy Schader, and Chief
Paul Logue
ABSENT: Roy Cate, Don Grimes
The meeting was called to order with Treasurer Pat Tobin presiding. Minutes
of the May 2, 1977 meeting had been distributed to members prior to the
meeting. Marion Doss, seconded by Mullens, moved the minutes be approved as
submitted. The motion carried unanimously.
Chief Logue, seconded by Doss, moved the pension list be approved for the
month of June. The motion carried unanimously.
The treasurer reported that the fund had $10,000 cash on hand and that a
$164,000 certificate of deposit earning 7 3/4 percent interest at Fayetteville
Savings and Loan was scheduled to mature the end of June. The Board
concurred that the certificate should be allowed to renew automatically at
the same interest rate. If the institution would not offer the same rate
of interest, the Board concurred that a meeting would be called to decide
what investment should be made.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
