FUND BOARD
December 6, 1976
The regularly monthly meeting of the Firemen's Pension and Relief Fund
Board was held December 6, 1976 at 4:30 p.m. in the City Manager's
Office.
PRESENT: Chairman Donald Grimes; Treasurer Pat Tobin; Acting Secretary
Susie Sandage; and Board members Marion Doss, Dennis Mullens,
Dean Harris, and Fire Chief Charles McWhorter
ABSENT: Howard Boudrey
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Grimes. Minutes of the
November 1, 1976 meeting had been distributed to members of the Board
prior to the meeting. Charles McWhorter, seconded by Dean Harris,
moved that the minutes be approved as submitted. The motion carried
unanimously.
Marion Doss, seconded by Charles McWhorter, moved the December pension
list be approved for payment. The motion carried unanimously.
The Treasurer reported that the Pension Fund had around $4,500 that needed
to be invested into an instution offering a high rate of interest for a
period of as long as 5-6 years. The longer term rates are more pro-
ductive than the 30 day rates. The Board agreed that the money should be
invested where it received the highest interest rates.
There being no further business for the Board's consideration, Charles
McWhorter, seconded by Dean Harris, moved the meeting be adjourned. The
motion carried and the meeting was adjourned by Chairman Grimes.
