FUND BOARD
July 12, 1976
The regular monthly meeting of the Firemen's Pension and Relief Fund Board
was held July 12, 1976, at 4:30 p.m., in the Office of the City Manager.
PRESENT: Chairman Don Grimes; Treasurer Pat Tobin; Secretary Darlene West-
brook; and Board members Howard Boudrey, Marion Doss, Dennis
Mullens.
ABSENT: Fire Chief Charles McWhorter, Dean Harris
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Grimes. Minutes of the June 7,
1976 meeting had been distributed to members of the Board prior to the
meeting. Howard Boudrey, seconded by Marion Doss, moved the minutes be
approved as submitted. The motion carried unanimously in voice vote of
the Board.
Following discussion, Howard Boudrey moved that the monthly benefits received
by Mrs. Hal Lane be increased by $10 for a total monthly benefit of $35. The
motion was seconded by Dennis Mullens and carried unanimously in voice vote
of the Board. Dennis Mullens, seconded by Marion Doss, then moved the pension
list for the month of July be approved. The motion carried unanimously in
voice vote of the Board.
Treasurer Pat Tobin recommended that Fayetteville Savings and Loan be con-
tacted about the possibility of adding an additional $20,000 to an existing
$167,000 certificate of deposit with that institution. Howard Boudrey,
seconded by Marion Doss, moved the Treasurer be authorized to negotiate
with Fayetteville Savings and Loan for the possible addition of $20,000 to
the $167,000 certificate.
There being no further business, Howard Boudrey, seconded by Dennis
Mullens, moved the meeting be adjourned. The motion carried unanimously
and the Chairman adjourned the meeting.
