AND RELIEF FUND BOARD
January 5, 1976
The regular monthly meeting of the Firemen's Pension and Relief Fund
Board was held January 5, 1976 at 4:30 p.m. in the Office of the City
Manager.
PRESENT: Chairman Donald L. Grimes; Treasurer Pat Tobin; Secretary
Darlene Westbrook; Fire Chief Charles McWhorter;
and members Howard Boudrey, Ronald McArthur, and Don Miller
ABSENT: Board member Dean Harris was absent at roll call but arrived
during the meeting.
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Grimes. Minutes of
December 1, 1975 had been distributed to members of the Board prior to
the meeting. Chief McWhorter, seconded by Howard Boudrey, moved that
the minutes be approved as submitted. With one member absent, the
motion carried in voice vote of the Board.
Chief McWhorter, seconded by Howard Boudrey, moved that the pension
list for the month of January be approved. With one Board member
absent, the motion carried in voice vote of the Board.
Treasurer Pat Tobin reported that subsequent to a telephone poll of
the Board's members, he had invested $25,000 cash with the Northwest
National Bank for a period of 60 days at an interest rate of 7%. (Note:
Mr. Harris arrived.) Chief McWhorter, seconded by Dean Harris, moved
that the investment be acknowledged and ratified. With all members
present, the motion carried unanimously in voice vote of the Board.
There being no further business for the Board's consideration, Chief
McWhorter, seconded by Ronald McArthur, moved that the meeting be
adjourned. The motion carried unanimously and the meeting was ad-
journed by Chairman Grimes.
