HomeMy WebLinkAbout1989-10-26 MinutesMINUTES OF A MEETING OF THE FIRE PENSION BOARD A regular meeting of the Fayetteville Fire Pension and Relief Fund Board of Trustees was held on Thursday, October 26, 1989 at 1:30 p.m. in Room 313 of City Hall. PRESENT: Chairman James Pennington, City Attorney Jerry Rose, Secretary Sherry Thomas, Fire Chief Mickey Jackson, and Firemen Pete Reagan, John Dill, and Retiree Carl Springston. ABSENT: Ex -Officio Treasurer Scott Linebaugh and Fireman Mike Bonaduce The meeting was called to order by the Chairman. MINUTES There were two changes to the minutes: (1) the correct number of days to credit Wayne Watts on his retirement date is 283 and (2) the correct retirement date is January 26, 1990. It was moved by Reagan, seconded by Dill, to approve the corrected minutes. The motion passed unanimously. PENSION LIST There were no changes in the pension list. Motion was made by Reagan, seconded by Jackson, to approve the pension list for November. The motion passed unanimously. CONSULTING SERVICES GROUP The proposed contract agreement between Merrill Lynch and the Fund had not been completed by Merrill Lynch. Again, it was discussed about the need for a change in the money managers due to RNC's poor performance. It was decided to call a meeting as soon as possible after City Attorney Jerry Rose receives the proposed contract agreement from Merrill Lynch. That meeting will also serve as the next regular meeting of the Fire Pension Board. ADJOURNMENT There being no further discussion, the meeting adjourned at 1:45 p.m.
