HomeMy WebLinkAbout1987-08-11 MinutesMINUTES OF A FIRE PENSION BOARD MEETING A meeting of the Fire Pension and Relief Fund Board of Trustees was held on Tuesday, August 11, 1987 at 8:45 a.m. in a conference room of the Police Department. PRESENT: Fire Chief Mickey Jackson, City Clerk Suzanne McWethy, Firemen Pete Reagan, John Dill and Mike Bonaduce, and Retiree Carl Springston; also present were Accounting Supervisor Zelda Parson, Police Pension Board members Eldon Roberts and Mike Mitchell, as well as Police Officers Friend, R. K. Bradley and Gerald Bradley; also present were representatives from the Merrill -Lynch investment firm ABSENT: Scott Linebaugh Curtis Williams from Merrill -Lynch presented a talk and a film which described a new investment program being offered, called the ML -Lee Acquisition Fund, involving the investment of funds which would be used to finance "friendly" business acquisitions. A brochure and prospectus were distributed outlining the program. Williams answered questions following the presentation and told the Board a decision would have to be made within two days to one week after August 12. No action was taken by the Board and the meeting was adjourned.
