HomeMy WebLinkAbout1984-01-10 MinutesMINUTES OF A FIRE PENSION RELIEF BOARD MEETING A meeting of the Firemen's Pension and Relief Board was held on Tuesday, January 10, 1984 at 4:30 P.M. in the City Manager's Office, Interim City Hall, Fayetteville, Arkansas. PRESENT: City Manager Grimes, Treasurer Linebaugh, Fire Chief Logue, Firemen Dill, Judy and Springston; City Clerk Kennedy CALL TO ORDER City Manager Grimes called the meeting to order. MINUTES With no corrections or additions to the Minutes of the December 5, 1983 meeting, the Minutes were approved as submitted. PENSION LIST There being no changes to the Pension List for January, 1984, Fireman Springston, seconded by Dill, made a motion to approve the Pension List for January, 1984. The motion passed, 4-0. OLD BUSINESS There was no Old Business introduced. NEW BUSINESS Investments Treasurer Scott Linebaugh reported there were no investments to be made for the month of January and he distributed a Balance Sheet as of 12-31-83, which he stated did not reflect any accrued interest as that had not been figured as of 12-31-83. Linebaugh also distributed an investment sheet and reported there would be no investments to be made until April; that there is not enough money in the savings account to make an investment. Contribution Fire Chief Logue reported that a $100 contribution had been received from Katherine Stout and that a letter of thanks had been sent to her on behalf of the Pension Board. Savings & Loan Investments Treasurer Linebaugh reported he has not received enough details from all the Savings and Loan Associations in the region in order to make a decision about whether to change any of the investments from the Banks to a Savings and Loan Association. Chairman Grimes asked Linebaugh to check into interest rates being paid on investments by Banks in Little Rock. ADJOURNMENT With no further business, the meeting adjourned at 4:40 P.M. DONALD L.
