BOARD OF DIRECTORS MEETING, May 14, 1984, 4:00 p.m.
Members present: Robbin Anderson, Jane House, Lois Miller
Guests: Linda Harrison
The minutes of the April meeting were approved as mailed.
Linda Harrison presented the attached Statistical and Financial
Reports. She also reported the following:
The expiration dates of Board members' terms are -
Anderson April 1, 1985
Hay April 1, 1986
Miller April 1, 1987
Salassi April 1, 1988
House April 1, 1990
The city employees currently do not have dental insurance coverage,
but we will be advised if they elect to do so in the future.
The library's increase in Blue Cross Blue Sheild coverage cannot
be included in the city's "reserve" because of the two different
billing accounts.
Scott Linebaugh, City Finance Director, has agreed to include
library employees in the upcoming personnel survey. Our cost
for this will be approximately 3100 per employee.
One of the air conditioner units located on the roof has been
struck by lightning. Due to the age of this unit, insurance
will not cover the cost to replace or repair. Repair cost will
be $1,740.00. Replacement cost will be 13,114.00 installed.
The feeling of the Board was to replace the unit after more
estimates are received.
Copies of the 1983 Audit were circulated for possible discussion
at the next meeting.
One of the old maple trees in the front yard has cracked and
could split at any moment. If it cannot be cabled, it will
have to be removed. The master street plan includes the widening
of Dickson Street which will cause the eventual loss of the tree.
Mrs. Miller reported that the restaurant supply company on South 71
has large capacity coffee pots at the cost of approximately 188.00.
There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 5:10 p.m.
