Minutes of the regular meeting on January 9, 1984 were
approved as mailed.
Librarian Linda Harrison presented the attached statistical
and financial reports. She pointed out that cash available
was at a historical low of $24423.96. She reported the
City of Fayetteville has approved the library budget requested,
but no funds for 1984 have been received. Ms. Harrison also
reported that the drainage problem at the rear of the library
has been solved after the city street department was contacted.
A pipe has been laid to the creek.
Member Rains requested a report on an illegal parking problem.
Librarian Harrison reported that the owner of the problem
vehicle was contacted and the vehicle has been removed.
The Board authorized Librarian Harrison to investigate repair
of the step-down in back by an independent contractor. The
cost of reupholstering the library couches also is being in-
vestigated.
Board President Anderson reported a board vacancy to occur this
year and asked that the proper city authorities be notified.
The meeting adjourned at 4:15 PM.
