Minutes of Board Meeting
November 14, 1983
Present: Robbin Anderson, Linda Foster, Bobbye Hay, Lois,.Miller, Bob Rains,
Margaret Salassi, and Carol Wright.
Minutes of the October Board meeting were approved.
Librarian Linda Foster presented the October statistical and financial
reports which are attached. She also presented the 1984 Proposed Budget and
cover letter to be submitted to the City of Fayetteville (see attachments) as
approved by the Board.
Lois Miller, Treasurer, reported that the Endowment Fund records now are in
her possession. She presented the financial statement and accompanying auditor's
letter (attached),and explained the balance availabe and process for ordering
books. There is a $500 reduction in the First National Bank -checking account
shown on the financial statement reflecting funds incorrectly received which
were returned. After a discussion of physical security for certificate of deposit
investments, a motion was made by Bobbye Hay, seconded by Bob Rains, to secure a safety
deposit box for library and endowment documents. Motion was approved unanimously.
Librarian Linda Foster presented the lease for Ozarks Regional Library. It
is to be revised as indicated in prior Board meetings.
C hairman Robbin Anderson submitted the proposed by-laws for the Board.
Board members had discussed content of by-laws at earlier meetins and were given copies of tt'
proposed by-laws at the October board meeting. Bob Rains moved acceptance of the
by-laws as presented. Margaret Salassi seconded the motion. The by-laws were
approved unanimously.
The meeting adjourned at 4:30 p.m.
