Board of Directors
April 12, 1982
The Fayetteville Public Library Board of Directors met at 4:00 p.m.
Members present were Robbin Anderson, David Parker, Bob Rains, and
Margaret Salassi.
The First item of business was the election of officers. A committee -of -the -
whole presented and approved the following slate of officers for 1982-1983:
Robbin Anderson, Chairman; Lois Miller, Treasurer; Margaret Salassi, Secretary.
Mrs. Foster presented the monthly and quarterly statistical and financial
reports (see attached).
There was a brief discussion about bids for roofing repairs during which
Mr. Rains suggested that the existing roof may be covered by a warranty
agreement.
Other items discussed were: 1) the need for a clarification on what
groups are eligible to use the auditorium. The Board requested the
matter be referred to the City Attorney for legal analysis. 2) the
initiative petition for local library services improvement which would
enable voters locally, to levy additional millage for library support.
Mrs. Foster asked for and received Board approval for non -library employees
to circulate petitions on the library premises. 3) the potential safety
hazard on the loading dock on the south side of the library and the missing
handicapped parking sign. 4) David Parker's resignation from the Board
effective May 1.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned at 5:00 p.m.
