May 22, 1991
Present: Bobbye Hay, Carol Phillips and Cam Crouch; Library Director Linda
Harrison, Laleh Amirmoez-Sadeghi, Architect for Hailey/Associates
and David Cox, Transportation Services Manager, City of
Fayetteville and June Jefferson, Fayetteville Library Staff
The meeting was called to discuss the award of the contract and possible
reductions in the actual cost.
Laleh Amirmoez-Sadeghi reported that the contractor had submitted a list of
possible changes totaling $29,536. She reviewed the list item by item.
Laleh will meet with the contractor to try to obtain more deductions.
After discussion and careful consideration by the board Carol Phillips made a
motion that the funding be accepted as presented by Karen Duree for a total of
$469,284.00, with $100,.000. being taken from the McLucas fund. Cam Crouch
seconded the motion. Motion passed.
The individual list as prepared by the contractor was reviewed for acceptance
or rejection. Laleh will check on some items for further clarification. Copy
of list attached.
