Fayetteville Public Library
October 15, 1979
The Fayetteville Public Library Board of Directors met at 4:00p.m.
on Monday, October 15, Members present were Dr. Robbin Anderson, Bob Rains,
George Shelton, and Mrs. Jack Wood.
The librarian1s and treasurer's reports were presented and are attached.
Linda Foster reported that, according to the Arkansas Employment Security
Division, the library owes unemployment insurance on its imployees retro-
actively to 1 January, 1978 at a rate of 3.1 per cent4of the gross salaries.
The Board suggested contacting Don Grimes, Jim McCord, and Bill Bassett
before taking further action.
The proposed 1980 budget was presented and approved. The motion to accept
Budget "B" was made by George Shelton with a second by Dottie Wood.
Linda Foster reported that Dan Flynn & Co., CPAs had submitted a bid of
3350.00 for performing our audit. Also, that Doris Cook agreed to do the audit
for 3150.00 providing we can get the books to her on December 28.
Linda Foster reported a bookkeeping error of 329.39 in the Blue Cross/
Blue Shieldwithholdings. The Board agreed that the library should be
reimbursed 329.39 from petty cash rather than withholding that amount from the
employees.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
