Fayetteville Public Library
June 11, 1979
The Fayetteville Public Library Board of Directors met at 4:00, June 11.
Members present were Robbin Anderson, Martha Brewer, Bob Rains and Dottie
Wood.
The librarian's report was presented (attached).
The treasurer's report was presented (attached).
Mrs. Foster reported that the Otis Elevator Co. and National Elevator
Service have recommended that we schedusl the 5 -year load and safety test.
The Board suggested that we contact the Elevator Division of the Arkansas
State Department of Labor about changing our certificate of operation from
passenger to freight and possibly avoid the weight test requirement.
Linda Foster asked if we could schedule a re -registration of library
cardholders in an attempt to update the file. The Board suggested that we
budget an additional $1800 next year for the necessary supplies and to
publicize the program.
It was reported that over 415 children are registered for the Summer
Reading Program.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
