Fayetteville Public Library
April 9, 1979
The Fayetteville Public Library Board of Directors met at 4:00
in the library. Members present were George Shelton, Mrs. Jack Wood,
Mrs. Hugh Brewer, Jr., Bob Rains and Dr. Robbin Anderson.
Mr. Shelton opened the meeting by welcoming Dr. Anderson to the
Board.
Linda Foster presented the librarian's report.
Martha Brewer said that she had talked with Pat Tobin about doing the
audit for us next year. Although the auditing process will probably
take longer, we are to call him back in December.
Linda Foster reported that the Blue Cross -Blue Shield rates have in-
creased. Martha Brewer moved to divide the increase equally between the
employee and the library. Dottie Wood seconded the motion and it was
passed unanimously.
Mrs. Wright asked about the status of the lease agreement. Mr. Shelton
stated that the old lease would remain in effect until the expansion is
complete. Mrs. Wright requested that our agreement be formalized.
Dottie Wood sugg4sted that the librarian determine staffing requirements
for night service.
The nominating commitee recommended Bob Rains for President, Martha
Brewer for Treasurer. Both were elected unanimously. It was agreed that
the librarian would continue to serve as secretary.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
